The fluctuation of hormones during pregnancy can create hot flashes or other temperature changes. It is not uncommon for a pregnant woman to experience hot flashes, either during the daytime or the nighttime. As pregnancy progresses, a woman's body has to do more work. In addition to processing the baby’s nutrients, the baby himself eventually creates an extra weight for her to carry around. This extra work can make it easier for a woman to get overheated, as well.
